Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time in Shelton, Connecticut! We are easily located off of Route 8 on the corner of Bridgeport Avenue and Old Stratford Road right behind Outback Steakhouse.

My name is Sarah Lutheran and I am the school's director. Our management team consists of myself, Alexandra Fusco (our assistant director) and Lisbeth Herndez (our team lead/Safety Captain). Here at Tutor Time, we offer care for Infant through Pre-Kindergarten age children. In June, we offer a Summer Camp option for children 3-12 years old. Our staff has more than 100 years of combined experience and a variety of educational qualifications ranging from Child Development Associate credentials to Bachelor's degrees. Our staff are also trained in First Aid and CPR, as well as, the administration of medication.

Looking for extracurricular activities that don’t require your time on weeknights or weekends? Tutor Time offers enrichment programs that your child can participate in such as yoga, karate, soccer, Spanish and Kindermusik. Additionally, morning and afternoon snacks, diapers and wipes are included in tuition!

Meet Our Staff

Sarah Lutheran, Director

Education: B.A. in Liberal Studies (Psychology & Sociology), B.S. in Collaborative Education (Elementary/Special Education)

Certifications: CPR & First Aid, Epi-pen & Medication Adminstration

Sarah started with Tutor Time in January of 2020, but has been working with children in the early childhood field since 2003. Prior to joining the Tutor Time family, she worked for another early learning company for 14 years. During her time working with children, Sarah has held positions as a youth sports referee, teacher, assistant director and director. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places and has a love for photography.

Alexandra Fusco, Assistant Director

Education: High School Diploma and Currently furthering her Studies

Certifications: CPR & First Aid, Epi-pen & Medication Adminstration

Alexandra started with Tutor Time in December of 2020, but has been working with children in the early childhood field since 2007. During her 10+ years with Tutor Time, she has worked with many different age groups throughout the building and supported the management team. In 2020, Alex stepped into the role of Assistant Director. Alex is passionate about children's education and loves supporting the families. In her free time, she likes spend time with her children and family.
