This year, Wondercamp is packed with even more fun than ever! We’ve extended our 2026 summer experience from Memorial Day through Labor Day, offering a full 15 weeks of exploration, creativity, and connection.
We know districts vary widely in their summer break schedules, so whether your child’s summer break begins in May or stretches into August, they can jump right into the fun. And for our youngest learners, this five-week extension means they get every available opportunity for play, discovery, and joyful learning.
Five New Wonder Weeks
To make our extended summer experience even more exciting, we’ve added five new themes for children to explore. Each one brings more unique topics to inspire curiosity while still feeling familiar and safe to Wondercampers of all ages:
- Wonders of Color
Experiment and create while discovering the science behind what we see. - Wonders of Animal Life
Explore habitats and life cycles of the animal world. - Wonders of Air and Space
Take learning sky-high as we study flight, weather, and the night sky. - Wonders of Art
Creativity takes center stage as children become artists of every type. - Wonders of Design
Build, invent, and imagine the next great innovative discovery.

Research continues to highlight the importance of high-quality, out-of-school summer programs to support children’s social growth, confidence, and overall well-being. That’s why Wondercamp blends playful, hands-on activities and experiences with the consistent routines and caring teachers they rely on. Nelle Brien, M.Ed.
With more than 25 years of experience, Nelle Brien is the Director of Education Operations and Integration at Learning Care Group (LCG). She leads a team that manages all classroom materials for new schools and the company's enrichment programs. Nelle also collaborates with various LCG teams to strengthen family engagement, expand teacher training, and drive student success across our community of 1,110+ schools. She’s passionate about providing an engaging learning environment, supporting families, and empowering educators. Nelle is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Early Childhood Education. An avid competitive duplicate bridge player, she is also a proud wife, mother of five, and grandmother of two.
