Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time of Shelby Township, MI, a childcare and preschool center for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. We are conveniently located at 21 Mile Road and Hayes (northwest corner) and support families from Macomb, Shelby, Sterling Heights, and Clinton Township. Our school is nationally accredited by NAEYC, a recognition of our commitment to exceptional early learning.

Our programs include Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before- and After-School Clubs, with full-time and part-time care options and Summer Camp. We also offer busing to Ebeling Elementary, supporting school-age families with convenient transportation. We are proud to partner with the state of Michigan to offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Michigan's high-quality, free preschool for eligible four-year-olds. Children can also enjoy enrichments such as Spanish and Soccer, helping them stay active and engaged.

Our staff brings over 200 years of combined experience and includes CPR & First AId certified team members, Master Teachers, teachers with Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, and educators with Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees.

My husband and I absolutely love this school. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the administrators are absolutely wonderful. I have been the director here since 2007. This school has become my second family. I love forming relationships with the children, their families and all of my staff.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Communication

I have been working in the early childhood field since 2010. I have a passion for early childhood education and I love putting a smile on every child's face. I started off my career at Tutor Time in many different classrooms as the lead teacher, however I have branched out to management to make an impact on the entire building. I love that I have the versatility to help teachers in the classroom with curriculum while also being able to engage with every parent in the building.

I have been working in child care since 1992. I have been working at Tutor Time since 2003 and love being a part of the school's community.
