Welcome to Our School
Smiles start early at Tutor Time of Matthews, our Matthews, North Carolina, daycare and preschool, which opened in September 2006. We are next to Providence Glen and near Hellenic Park and Harris Teeter. Our staff hold CPR and First Aid certifications, a North Carolina Childcare Credential, and an Administration Credential and have completed sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) training. We serve families from Charlotte.
Our classrooms for ages 6 weeks to 12 years include Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before and After School Care. We are glad to accept third-party child care assistance; just ask on your tour. Learn from the Start® helps infants bond with caregivers who know them well, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K lets children learn by doing, like preschoolers building and testing structure and function with materials.
Spotlight on Spanish introduces conversational Spanish through stories and songs. Soccer gives children teamwork practice and time with friends. Look through the whole list on this page. I've always had a passion for helping others, a love for school supplies and writing on the chalkboard, and always being the teacher when playing school! I take pride in the fact that I have been privileged enough to turn my passion into an amazingly fulfilling career as center director where I have been able to be a part of children's growth and development, witnessing the "a ha" moments in a child's day, and building lasting relationships with families and my team.

Safety and comfort come first in our Infants Program, where Primary Caregivers offer your little one personalized attention. Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space. With a maximum teacher-child ratio of 1:4, your baby always feels the love and attention they need. Diapers and wipes are also included, giving families one less thing to worry about each day.
