Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time Learning Center in the Oakhurst and Ashbrook neighborhoods of Aurora, Illinois! Our Educational Daycare offers programs for infants, toddlers, twos, preschool and pre-k children. We also offer before and after school age programs and transportation for children who attend Steck, Nancy Young, McCarty and Georgetown Elementary Schools. We have an open-door policy, so parents can stop in at any time.

We are committed to keeping you connected throughout the day while your child is in our care. Families have access to live streaming video of their child’s classroom and get other real-time updates, with our exclusive mobile app for families, SproutAbout. Our amazing staff keep you updated with photos, educational updates and messaging so you always know what is happening with your child while you are at work.

Our school opened in 2000 and in July 2025 we were remodeled! We can't wait for the community to see our new look! We are closed for New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

We encourage you to come in for a tour and learn about everything that Tutor Time can offer your family! Contact us today for your school visit between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.!

Meet Our Staff

Gayle Burgher, Director

Education: BS in Family Consumer Sciences/Child Development from Illinois State University

Certifications: CPR & First Aid

Gayle has been in the field of early childhood since 1994. Her degree in Family Consumer Sciences with a specialty in Child Development from Illinois State University. Gayle joined Learning Care Group in September 2020 at The Children's Courtyard North Plainfield as Gayle was promoted to Director of Tutor Time in Aurora in February 2025. Gayle wants children to love learning, connect families with quality programming and grow teachers in the profession of early childhood education.

Anita Gonzalez, Assistant Director

Education: Associate's Degree from Joliet Junior College

Certifications: CPR & First Aid

Anita has been in the early childhood field since 1996. Her Associate's degree is from Joliet Junior College. Anita joined Learning Care Group in 2011 and started her career at La Petite Academy in Plainfield. She was promoted to Assistant Director at Tutor Time of Aurora 2017. Anita wants to make your child's early childhood education the best experience they can have by partnering with families and with teachers in the program.
