Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time Child Care and Learning Center in North Wilmington, DE. We are located in the Brandywine Town Center on the DE/PA border.

We are proud to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). They are the leading accrediting body for providers of high-quality care for children. We are also a 5-star rated center with Delaware Stars. We offer developmentally appropriate Infant and Toddler Care, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and other early education enrichment programs.

My passionate group of teachers is dedicated to excellence in early education and care. Our teachers have longevity with our school, and many been here since we opened in 2005. They are all certified by the Delaware Department of Education. Ongoing staff training is conducted; and our teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, as well as being certified to administer medication.

Children in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms have iPads with educational apps, as well as soft shapes and letters that interact with the touchscreens. In addition, our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms have Inspire Plus interactive smart boards and feature STEAM labs with hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Math.

Marcia Kinnamen, Director

Education: B.S. in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: DE Department of Education Early Childhood Administrator and Curriculum Coordinator

I have 30+ years of experience in administering high quality early childhood education programs and leading professional early childhood teachers. I am passionate about providing developmentally appropriate environments for young children. Children learn best by doing what they love: PLAYING!

Judy DiMauro, Team Lead

Certifications: DE Department of Education Early Childhood, Administration of Medication

I started my career in early childhood education in 1998. My experience for the past 20 years has been in management as well as in the classroom. It truly has been an awesome opportunity to help maintain a safe, nurturing and fun learning environment.

Education: B.S. in Liberal Arts, Associate's Degree in Elementary Education

Certifications: Medical

I have over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. I have been with Tutor Time for 12 of those years. My passion is implementing curriculum that is nurturing, educational, and fun for every child! My role as the School Education Manager helps promote our individualized curriculum and helps support our teachers! Every child learns in their own way and our curriculum implements each student’s needs. I love what I do everyday!
