Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time Child Care and educational school of Lakeville! We serve families from Lakeville, Apple Valley, Burnsville, Savage, Rosemount, Farmington, Eagan, Prior Lake and more in Dakota County.

We offer part-time, three days or more, and full-time care options for infants, toddlers, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, as well as a Junior Kindergarten program. Our pathway to success provides the perfect foundation for learning, development, and preparation for Kindergarten building one-of-a-kind learners from the Infant program. Our center is nationally accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation, as well as a 4-Star Parent Aware rating.

We have a compassionate team of tenured teachers devoted to providing the highest quality education and care to our students. We empower our teachers with semi-annual teacher conferences to give them the time to stay current in the field of early childhood education, refresh, and update their classrooms.

Meet Our Staff

Rebecca Ham, Director

Education: Associate's Degree in Business Management with Early Childhood, working towards Bachelor's Degree in Education Management at Rasmussen University

I have worked in the ECE field for over 20 years, and have been with Tutor Time since 2010. I have experience with all positions and age groups, and really enjoy being able to support each role even more as the director. My favorite part of my job is building the relationships with staff, children and families. I truly enjoy summer and the camp field trips too. It is the most wonderful thing to watch these little people grow and turn into their own individuals!

Emmy Tangen, Assistant Director

Education: Currently completing Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Rasmussen University

I have been at the Lakeville Tutor Time location since 2016, and have spent most of my time on the preschool side. I completed my Master Teacher certification through Learning Care Group and am excited to support my school to help it grow as our Assistant Director. I love having dance parties in the classroom with the kids and enjoy watching them learn and grow!

Education: Currently Pursuing a Degree in Education

I have called Tutor Time my home away from home since 2017. I am the Safety Captain and ensure that all of our safety standards are met. The health and well-being of the students and staff is always my priority. I love watching the children discover new things and seeing the pure joy on their faces every day.
