Toddler Classroom Learning Centers

For the love of inspiring curiosity
Your little one is now big enough to walk and explore everything within reach. Our Toddler Program gives them plenty of room to do so safely as they begin to communicate, learn more skills, and develop their personalities. This is more than daycare! Our Learn as We Grow curriculum helps teachers to guide their classroom explorations with purpose and endless encouragement.

Communication Center

The foundations of language grow with each book, puppet show, and dress-up performance. The Communication Center is where toddlers discover the art of storytelling as they listen carefully, interact with friends, and begin to make marks on paper.

Creation Center

“What happens if I dip this sponge in the paint?” Toddlers have big ideas. We like to give them the space to explore the answer. The Creation Center includes plenty of hands-on materials your child can use to create their own colorful work of art.

Discovery Center

Engage in the process of problem-solving by comparing, arranging, or sorting materials. While investigating the Discovery Center, toddlers learn early math and science concepts through trial and error. Explore patterns and make observations like a scientist.

Imagination Center

If the beat is catchy, you’ll catch your toddler dancing! The Imagination Center gives children a chance to experience music, movement, and pretend play as a form of self-expression. They’ll love to explore and dig into the dress-up bin with their friends.

Invention Center

Let’s build a tower or balance objects. Fine and gross motor skills get a good workout in the Invention Center as curious toddlers assemble and connect various materials to create solutions. Why did it fall over? What happens if I stack this piece? Try it and find out!

Reflection Center

A calm space to take a break from all the action in the classroom. Toddlers are encouraged to use the Reflection Center to relax their bodies and self-regulate. Invite a friend to join you or grab a favorite book to enjoy alone. These quiet moments make a big difference.

Our curriculum is designed to address the evolving developmental needs of this increasingly mobile age group. In toddler classes, learning growth is measured by 100s of individual indicators, or skills, and we follow their progress across these nine areas of development:

Toddlers Program FAQs

Yes, our toddler child care program offers flexible, year-round enrollment to support families whenever care is needed. Openings depend on classroom availability at each school, so we encourage families to check with their local early learning center for current space and scheduling options.

Toddlers begin their day with engaging classroom activities designed to support early learning, curiosity, and independence. Outdoor play is included each morning to encourage movement, exploration, and healthy physical development. After enjoying a nutritious lunch, children participate in a rest period to recharge. In the afternoon, toddlers have a healthy snack and continue building skills through teacher-guided small-group experiences and play opportunities both inside the classroom and outdoors, supporting well-rounded growth throughout the day.

Our toddler child care program encourages social growth by providing daily opportunities for children to interact in small-group settings and guided play experiences. Through shared activities, toddlers practice early communication, cooperation, and turn-taking while learning alongside their peers. Teachers model positive interactions and help children express their needs, understand emotions, and build confidence as they develop important relationship skills in a supportive early learning environment.

We recognize that saying goodbye at drop-off can take time for toddlers to adjust. Teachers provide reassurance through warm interactions, predictable routines, and individualized support that helps children feel comfortable and secure in their classroom environment. As trust builds and children become familiar with their surroundings, most toddlers gain confidence quickly and transitions become smoother for both children and families in a supportive toddler care setting.
