Twaddler Daycare (24-30/36 Months)

Child Care That Encourages Independence and Growth

Our Whole Child curriculum for 2-year-olds, whom we like to call Twaddlers, is active, sensory based and meaningful. Our specially designed program provides lots of guidance for the independence that this age group needs.

StartSmart curriculum

The StartSmart curriculum provides the three components of an early childhood curriculum: Developmentally appropriate experiences, engaging classroom spaces and responsive teacher-child relationships. Our teachers follow children’s needs and interests, planning experiences based on your child’s own curiosity and developmental level. Our daily routine allows time for group learning, and individual experiences. Your child will work on those developing social skills when she works with her classmates to create a giant block structure. She will also have an opportunity to engage her creative side with art and sensory materials. Teachers will help children build upon early literacy and communication skills by sharing books, singing songs and engaging finger plays.

In the classroom

Our classrooms include areas for exploring, learning, sleeping, eating and diapering that create a safe and empowering environment. The classrooms are also divided into general areas that meet your child’s need to:

  • Move: Here children can use their muscles and bodies for crawling, climbing, jumping, dancing and playing games. This increases physical coordination skills and is a way young children make connections in their brains.
  • Explore & Express: Our area for sensory exploration and creative expression. We encourage children to explore their inquisitive nature by experimenting with materials, trying new things and engaging in pretend play.
  • Relax: Research shows that many behavioral problems stem from emotionally overwhelming social situations. Our child care rooms provide a quiet and cozy place where children and teachers can read books, tell stories and have conversations.
