Welcome to Our School

Good news for Walled Lake families: Tutor Time of Walled Lake has offered daycare and preschool since January 1999, close to Hiram Sims Park and Walled Lake City Library. NAEYC is the accrediting body for our school. Teachers and staff at our school hold CPR and First Aid certifications.

Families can choose from Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before and After School Care, for ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our school offers the state-funded MI Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). We welcome families using third-party child care assistance, and we would love to explain it on your tour. Learn from the Start® offers sensory materials that invite babies to explore, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K keeps learning hands-on, like two-year-olds watching plants grow.

Hello, I am Ella and I love being the Director of Tutor Time Walled Lake! I am from Saline and moved to the Waterford area in 2019. I spent over 10 years teaching children, specializing in birth to five years old. We aim to create a warm, safe, and happy environment for all children, staff, and families to enjoy at Tutor Time. I look forward to getting to know you!

Learn from the Start™, our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, guides every experience, from sensory play to early language and motor skill building. The classroom is designed with everything teachers need at their fingertips, so they can stay by your baby’s side. Sensory pools and mats, activity gyms, and other age-appropriate toys and materials engage all five senses, inspiring curiosity and exploration in a safe space.
